The Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration is a full-service resort in Orlando Florida. Of course, to Floridians, it is located in the Kissimmee area of what most tourist consider Orlando Florida. Does that make a difference – Nope, not at all. It simply means you have to travel a little to get to some of the places you may want to visit.

The Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration is worth it. Especially when you compare the very high prices, some hotels charge just because they are close to a certain attraction. To give you an idea of what I mean, I have “listed below” a few Orlando Florida tourist destinations and their distance from the resort to better give you an idea.
Save money on Hotel
After all, on this trip, I am all about saving money on the hotel stay. My Florida rate averages around $82 plus the extra charges all hotels and resorts charge. The regular rate, not counting any special discounts are around $100 plus extra charges and depends on the type of room you get as well.
You compare that to the $200 plus daily rates I have paid for some hotels and that is a little bit of extra change that I can use to have more fun on my vacation. So even if I have to drive a little to get to some places – well. I think it is worth it. Especially if your vacation is going to be spent mainly traveling Orlando and not hanging around the hotel room.
Grand Orlando Resort
The resort has three swimming pools equipped with a waterfall and slides. I think the waterfalls look amazing at night when they are all lite up. It took my breath away but I am a sucker for those kind of things. It is also a great Instagram photo opportunity. You have the trees, the pool, the waterfall and at night it is all lite up in a way that just makes me want to share it on social media.
Of course, let me not forget to mention that it also has two tennis courts, a game room and a playground. They also mention golfing but since golf is not my thing, I did not check into it. However, you might.
The Hotels Rooms
Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration has several different rooms to choose from, as they mention on their website. The hotel resort rooms have been designed for family vacationers, business travelers, and couples embarking on a romantic getaway.
My goal on this trip is (was – depending on when I post this) to spend my time away from the hotel or the room. I want to eat, hang out by the pool and go visit places. How else am I going to create more cool content, like videos, for my YouTube channel?
Nevertheless, they offer Junior Suites, Presidential Suites, Delux rooms and business class King rooms. Of which I did not splurge on – basic for me on this trip. Each room offers different views to which you can guess, raises the room rate. From what I can tell, the high-end rooms give you an upscale kind of home feel. Not extravagant but a nice or lush feel.
This is not to say it will not be a mess by the time my son is done with our room, so I do hope I get a few pics and videos before the family comes charging in.

Resort Hotel fees
The Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration like every hotel and resort have extra fees. At the Grand Orlando Resort, they charge you a $25 resort fee. This is charged on a daily basis. They also charge a parking fee of $13 per day. Some hotel offer free parking but apparently not here. This is starting to become the norm.
The resort is said to be 100% Non-Smoking. Which I think is great. Sorry if you smoke. They also have a “No pets allowed” policy, of course there is an exception for service animals.
Also, if you are on business and you need something to be shipped they have a fee for that to. There is no exception though – shipping and receiving fees apply to all guest packages.
