Uber Eats food delivery donut challenge did not work out so well. Did not expect to have the bottom fall out from under me.

Also check out the video I made to trick the school into thinking I was getting the donuts from a donut shop dumpster Food Challenge Dunkin. The students still mention it. “I’m not talking to you. You got the donuts from a dumpster!” They say as they laugh.

Uber Eats Fail?

I hope I can make this work. That is what I thought when I started with this video idea. Seeing as how my 600 Donut challenge video was a hit with all of the Fred Wild Elementary staff, students and administration. I had to try making a follow up video.

The video idea was. How do I get 600 donuts to the school?

I have a friend who does Uber, he loves it and he makes good money doing it. I was going to have him be my uber eats delivery person – for the food challenge. I have 600 donuts I need to pick from Walmart and I thought it would make a great video. (Easy – I thought)

However, my friend could not do it, he had a real Uber client request his services. So I thought, I guess will just call any Uber Eats driver to deliver the donuts. Nope! I can’t do that because apparently they do not service my small city. (Oh, how nice???)

This meant I would have to be my own Uber delivery person. I guess it was be better this way. It would have been difficult to have an uber driver sign a waiver stating that he or she gives me the right to video (record) them and use their image, likeness and what not in my video, for YouTube.

Besides, I think it would have felt awkward.

Walmart Bakery Donuts

The idea was good, but since I could not get my friend or an Uber Eats driver – I decided to do it myself. How hard could it be?

To be honest, I was nervous, excited and a bit weirded out. After all, who goes to Walmart to pick up 600 donuts? Sounds like a great idea, but who does that?
I guess that would be me.

As you can see in the video, I went early in the morning. It was a sunny bright day and Walmart as well as the Walmart Bakery was not busy. That doesn’t mean I didn’t get a few weird looks, surprised looks and one guy even ask “Are you going to eat all of those?”

Now that I think about it, I should have worn a t-shirt that promoted my YouTube channel. It probably would have gotten me a few views on my channel – people trying to figure out who is this guy with three shopping carts full of donuts.

Donut Challenge Accomplished

I have to say, I was pumped. I could have used a camera person to help me get better shots and angles – but I was a one-man show. So I do hope you liked the video. I even eventually got some footage (video) of me getting a large group of students to chant “Donuts! Donuts! Donuts!”. I am not sure the teachers appreciated that outburst.

In either case, I enjoy coming up with this video idea. The first video as well as this one. I do hope that the school, friends and family enjoyed it as well. The editing was difficult; I was trying new things in order to make the video a lot more interesting. Attention span is so small now a day’s. People just do not want to watch intros, outros and if you cannot keep their attention. They bounce to the next video.

That is why I want to thank you if you read this far. A lot of people do not take the time to read an entire article as well. I appreciate it.
If I can ask. What did you think about the video? I would really like to hear your thoughts.
